This is a child's first time to attend formal schooling. They start to have routines and do learning by playing. They are introduced to numbers and alphabet, done by counting, art, sounds, singing, motor, sensorial, and practical life.

For kids who already have alphabet and number awareness, they are now introduced to formal counting and letters, pronunciation, and more singing and collaborative play. Kids will also have to learn to do some seat work and start to write.

Kinder is the first level of recognized schooling in our education system. Here they will learn to join sounds and letters into words, have rudimentary reading skills, do math operations and thinking, and more writing. Here they have to sit independently and be able to do work on their own.

Since the introduction of the K12 system in the Philippines, the Kinder 2 program is now the First Grade. This is still under the purview of our Preschool Department as this is where we strengthen their math, reading, and penmanship skills, to be prepared for Elementary. There is a lot of social and collaborative learning play.
